Beauty and wellness
Beauty and wellness in Tokyo and Kyoto
Head spas, hotel spas, skincare counters, hot spring water and quiet temple mornings, planned so every day has room to rest.
What we do for you
A journey planned around care and rest
Tokyo has careful salons, hotel spas and beauty counters on almost every street, and Kyoto has the gardens, temples and hot spring inns that slow a journey down. We plan the two cities together, so a head spa, an afternoon at a hotel spa or an hour at a skincare counter sits in the right place among the rest of your days.
Before we propose a salon or a spa, we read its own pages: what the treatment involves, how long it takes, what it costs, whether there is English at the counter and what the cancellation rule says. Then we check what is open on your dates. Nothing is promised until it is confirmed.
We describe each treatment the way the salon or spa describes it. We do not promise results, and we do not plan treatments at medical or cosmetic clinics. If you are pregnant, have a skin condition or are under medical care, we raise it with the spa before anything is confirmed.
How we plan it
-
Head spas and salons
Japanese head spas and hair salons in Tokyo, chosen for the treatment you want and placed at a quiet hour of the day.
-
Hotel spas for one or two
Spa time at hotels in Tokyo and Kyoto, including rooms where two people are treated together, where the hotel offers one.
-
Skincare and beauty shopping
Flagship stores, department store counters and drugstores, in an order that fits the day, with time for the tax-free steps.
-
Onsen, temples and forest
Hot spring inns, morning zazen, temple food and forest walks, at a pace that leaves the evenings free.

Questions answered
What does STAYGO do for a beauty and wellness trip?
We plan the whole journey from Tokyo: the order of the days, the salons, spas, shops, onsen and temples that suit what you want, and the time between them. We check each place's published rules and what is open on your dates, handle the requests with salons and spas, and stay in touch during the trip through the STAYGO app and WhatsApp.
How much does the planning cost?
The Signature planning fee is USD 3,500 for your group, for a journey of 7–14 days. Longer or more complex journeys are planned as Bespoke. You pay salons, spas, hotels and restaurants directly at their own rates, and we add no markups and take no commissions.
Do you promise results from the treatments?
No. We describe each treatment the way the salon or spa describes it, and we do not plan treatments at medical or cosmetic clinics. If you have a health or skin condition, we raise it with the spa before anything is confirmed.
Can two of us be treated at the same time?
Some hotel spas in Tokyo and Kyoto publish treatment rooms for two. When you ask for one, we plan around the hotels that offer it, and our guide to hotel spas lists what each hotel publishes.
Can I plan a spa and onsen trip with tattoos?
Yes. Rules differ between baths, spas, gyms and pools, sometimes inside one hotel. We read each written policy before we propose a place, and our guide to tattoo friendly onsen explains the options.
