Honeymoon

Honeymoon in Japan

Time for the two of you, with the planning handled from Tokyo.

What we do for you

Fewer moves, longer evenings

A honeymoon in Japan works best with fewer bases than a normal trip. We plan three or four stops, leave afternoons open on purpose, and place the ryokan nights in the middle of the journey, where the change of pace is felt most.

We look for rooms with their own open-air bath, since the shared baths at most onsen ryokan are separated by sex. We plan two or three dinners worth remembering, often at a counter where you sit side by side, with simpler evenings in between.

When we book, we let each hotel and ryokan know that you are on your honeymoon, in your names. Many will mark the occasion in their own way. We do not promise what they will do.

How we plan it

  • A room with its own bath

We look for ryokan rooms with a private open-air bath, or a bath you can reserve for the two of you.

  • A pace for two

Three or four bases, half-days left empty, and no early starts unless you ask for them.

  • Dinners side by side

Two or three special tables across the trip, with anything one of you does not eat passed on in Japanese.

  • A plan that can bend

If it rains or you would rather stay in, message us in the STAYGO app or on WhatsApp and we rework the day.
