Wellness

Wellness in Japan

Forest, hot springs, temples and quiet, at a pace that lets you rest.

What we do for you

Slow mornings, quiet places

Wellness in Japan comes from where you spend the day. Old forests, hot spring water, temple gardens in the early morning, and meals that follow the season.

We plan around quiet. We look for places to stay away from the busiest streets, time the temples for when they open, and leave space for a walk in the forest or a second bath before dinner.

For meditation, a temple stay or shojin ryori, the vegetable cooking of Buddhist temples, we find what is open to visitors on your dates and check what each place offers before we propose it.

How we plan it

  • Forest and gardens

Walks in old forests and moss gardens, timed for the quieter hours.

  • Hot spring water

Ryokan chosen for their baths, with a private bath where you would prefer one.

  • Temples, by arrangement

Meditation, temple stays and temple food, where they are open to visitors on your dates.

  • A pace that rests

Fewer moves, early nights and long mornings. The plan bends around how you feel.
