What we do for you
Under one roof, at your own pace
We plan for groups of about six to a dozen or more: a few families who travel together, or friends who have talked about Japan for years. The Signature planning fee is USD 3,500 for your group, for a journey of 7 to 14 days. Larger or more complex group journeys may be planned as Bespoke, quoted in advance.
Where you stay comes first. We look for a whole machiya townhouse in Kyoto, a separate wing of a ryokan, or rooms side by side on one floor of a hotel, so the group stays together. Before we propose a place, we check its beds, its house rules and how it handles group requests.
For transfers, we arrange vans sized for the group, such as a Mercedes V-Class or a Toyota Alphard, with more than one car when the group needs it. Each comes with a driver, and you pay the hire company directly. Dinners are in private rooms where the whole group fits at one table, with allergies and dietary needs passed on in Japanese ahead of time.

Some days the whole group shares one experience. On others, each family or couple goes its own way, and everyone meets again for dinner.
