STAYGO is a Tokyo-based bespoke Japan travel planning service. Signature: USD 3,500 for your group, for journeys of 7 to 14 days. Bespoke is priced after a first conversation.

About STAYGO
STAYGO plans Japan trips one at a time. We start from how you actually travel: how early you like to be out, how much you want in a day, what you want to eat, and what you would rather skip.
That becomes a route, a set of rooms, and a list of tables and appointments, most of them held long before you arrive. A few of them are not bookable online at all.
It begins with a conversation, usually a long one. We would rather tell you early what is not worth doing than hand you a full calendar.

Reservations, introductions, and the fallback for the day it rains, all settled before you get here. When it works, none of it is visible to you.
Your hotels, dining, and transport are paid directly by you. Your Amex points, hotel status, and miles work exactly as they should.
And if a day is better left empty, we will tell you that too.
Most travel services mark up hotels, restaurants, and transport without telling you. You pay a total, and you never see the breakdown.
STAYGO does it the other way round. You pay each hotel, restaurant and driver directly, at their own rate. Our fee is one planning fee on top, and you see both numbers.
You book your hotel directly, at the same rate you would pay yourself, often with upgrades we arrange through our relationships.
We do not earn a cut from the counters, ryokans, or experiences we introduce you to. Our recommendation is never influenced by what pays us more.
Signature covers 7 to 14 days in Japan, USD 3,500 for your group. Bespoke is priced after our first talk. You see the number before you commit. There are no surprises at checkout.
We do not bill by the hour. The fee is the same whether your plan takes us ten hours or forty.
Eight days or fourteen, the research is the same, the calls are the same, and the same people have to say yes.

Many travellers now plan with AI, and it is good at showing what exists. What it cannot do is open the doors that matter most in Japan: the counter that takes no online bookings, the ryokan that keeps its rooms for guests who are known and introduced, the afternoon rebuilt when a typhoon closes Hakone. That is where we come in, with relationships built here and one person in Tokyo who knows your plan.
Not every door opens by introduction, and we always tell you honestly which ones we can arrange.
Signature is one fee per journey, for trips of 7 to 14 days, for your whole travelling party. You know the fee and what it covers before planning begins. Longer or more complex journeys are planned as Bespoke, quoted in advance.
Included: the design of your itinerary, researching and checking each hotel, restaurant and experience for your dates, arranging your bookings in your names, and support from us during your trip. The fee is for your whole party, not per person.
Not included: hotels, meals, transport, guides and experiences. You pay each provider directly, at their own rates, so your Amex points, hotel status and miles work as they should.
By card or bank transfer, through Stripe's secure payment page. A 25% deposit begins your planning, and the remaining 75% is due 60 days before you travel. For journeys departing within 60 days, the full fee is due when you confirm.

We don't run escorted group tours. Your journey is private and you move at your own pace. Where a local guide, driver or specialist would genuinely add to a day, we arrange one.
We can arrange hard-to-book restaurants, ryokan and private experiences through our contacts in Japan. Each depends on the venue's own conditions and availability, so we tell you plainly what is realistic for your dates, and we never present a reservation as secured until it is confirmed.
Three to six months ahead gives you the widest choice, especially during cherry blossom and autumn foliage season, when sought-after ryokan and restaurants book up early.
Travelling in just a few weeks? You're welcome to get in touch. We check availability for your dates before recommending hotels and restaurants, and clearly flag anything that still needs confirmation. If your first choice is full, we'll suggest thoughtful alternatives. Rates and availability can change until a booking is confirmed.
During your journey, you can message us in your STAYGO portal or on WhatsApp about anything in your itinerary: a change of plan, a restaurant to rebook, a question on the day. Before you travel, we confirm our response hours and what is included in your plan.
Our planning fee: the 25% deposit is non-refundable once planning has begun. If you cancel before the final payment, only the deposit is kept. Once the full fee is paid, it is non-refundable.
Your bookings: hotels, restaurants and other providers each have their own cancellation terms. We show you each one before anything is booked, and any charge under those terms is paid to the provider directly.
If you need to cancel close to your trip, write to us and we will work through it with you.

Yes. Keep the hotels and flights you have chosen, and we compose everything around them: the tables worth crossing the city for, private experiences, seamless transfers, and the unhurried days in between.
Tell us about allergies, vegetarian or religious requirements, or anything else that matters. We ask each restaurant and hotel before booking, and include only those that confirm they can accommodate you.
